Shock horror! The SUN this p.m. And is that a misty moon I see..................

Sorry - sketch out why the thread needs to be 'reborn'?
Seems to be doing pretty well. Is pretty well instant to access as well, AFAICS.

It takes eleven seconds to load on my computer (I timed it this morning) - as did the "What you listening to?" before the "reboot".

If nobody seriously objects to a new thread for Stormy Weather, and if nobody minds, I will start another this weekend?

Other things aside, it loads instantly on my Mac. Are people sure it's not their kit?

True enough, Beefy. See how this goes.

Yes - all other Threads load instantly. The original (and best) "What you listening to" Thread also took ages to load up, but loads instantly in the new low-calorie version.

It isn't ruining my day or anything - but I always leave the "Stormy Weather" 'til last and go off to make tea whilst it drags the volume across the library floor. Is it an inconvenience to anyone to have a new Thread?

Dusting of snow on tops today, and fierce N/NW wind. And COLD, but cloudless.

Yes - driving home from Huddersfield last night, I noticed snow in the drizzle. Didn't amount to much - but a distinct dip in the temperature.

Ok, Forumiters, shall I begin a new thread? I am doing it like this, because, I think it good to have a discussion first and then apply the action.

Quite a mix with the weather today.

I struggle to understand why this thread-splitting issue is such a big deal, or needs discussion. If it's easier for some to have a second part, shouldn't it just happen, with ff making Part I 'sticky' (as with that other thread) so anyone can search it easily if required? I can see no possible argument against it...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Me too. No-one has answered the question I posed a few posts back regarding lopping off a couple of years posts and archiving away, accessible to anyone who wants to see them (though I can't for the life of me see why). Alternatively, can't threads have a limit so especially long ones have the oldest posts just falling off the edge in time? Is this possible with vBulletin settings?

Having said that, I have no problem loading this thread and eleven seconds loading time is hardly that much of a problem.
