I try not to use the boiler at all in the warm months, as I have solar water heating - but this year it needs attention and it is disgracefully easy just to turn on the boiler instead.
Wish I could manage with just the solar and my open hearth and gas fire (in separate rooms).
There are times of year, I find, when thermostats don't quite answer...

NB Supermoon Sunday! (well, Monday morning)....
"Weather permitting, the large red moon will be visible across the whole of Britain from 1.10am BST on Monday morning. At that moment, the Earth’s shadow will start to creep across the face of the full moon, causing it to dim and take on a yellowish hue. At 3.10am BST, the moon will be fully in Earth’s shadow, and for an hour and 12 minutes will turn a dark rusty red, or grey depending on surface conditions. The whole spectacle will be over by 6.25am BST Monday.""...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
