A lovely early autumn morning here. Totally cloudless sky, a very low sun, no wind and warming up nicely. So frustrating that once again we've had a better September than we had July or August. My guess is that predicted temps of 17 degrees will be exceeded again as was the case yesterday.

Same as here. I might even do a bit of sunbathing for that essential Vitamin D later on, provided the wind remains light. !7 C is still 2 C below the mid September mean, though. Thus far here, that mean has only been reached once this month.

Well all clouding over again, by the looks of it. So much for a sunny day! :(

Once the frontal system crossing the country tonight and early tomorrow is out of the way, pressure is expected to build up from the SW, with an anticyclone right over the whole country on Saturday, and thereafter settling to the north-east. That high is expected by most professionals to be hanging around in situ until about October the 10th, eventually bringing winds round from the south-east to promise conditions that would have brought a prolonged and settled heatwave had they occurred a month or two ago, but will warm things up very nicely.

This should be made the most of, because after that it's downhill and into what unfortunately looks likely to be Phase I of a very wet and stormy winter to come, courtesy El Nino if past records are to go by, especially here in the south.

Not been able to see the fells for most of the day, and I do mean 100% white-out above 400 feet.
                Rain, drizzle, yuk-dreech all day.

A wonderful day today, weather wise!)(makes a change! :)). Having a rather nice session of Vivaldi's music to compliment the weather, yes I know, that work, plus some others he wrote, in a multi cder! :)

Well, looks like it will be back to normal today. overcast and rain! Pity, as I will be helping my elderly mother to do her weekly shop.

Should be fine by that time BBM. And then it's fine for the forseeable nearly everywhere, apart from 1 or 2 showers today up and down the land.
