Good for the garden. No water from tap for over 24 hours in our neck of North Wilts following mains pipe burst.

I am puppy sitting at the moment and we have both had muddy feet this morning. I can see this a drawback of that system, but otherwise happy with it. Trouble is, Teddy is 9 weeks old and loves chewing a towel...

(I've just watched the Brand/Miliband show! We gotta stop phone 'acking. Funny how easy it is to lapse into estuary english when it might get you votes, innit?)
It's ok, I'm not being political, merely making an observation!

By contrast today, clear blue skies!
Today, nice cumulus development but not enough to make the showers predicted, I think. The official forecast has it wet here for Saturday, thundery showers Sunday, and a few showers on Monday; temperatures topping out at 15 C on Sunday and Monday, which would be average for early May, but not particularly warm. But my feeling is that if the weather chart is as predicted, with winds comng from the SE, that Monday maximum looks a bit pessimistic.

Richard Barrett posted news of World Naked Garden Day yesterday, but it was rather spoilt by my childish fondness for cheap puns:
As the forecast today is for rather chilly weather, especially after sunset, anyone wishing to participate might be glad to hear that minimal clothing in such conditions is acceptable.

... Just a thong at twilight."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
