Returning from the Tesco Express one mile from here, this morning, I didn't notice any problems with breathing. But I shall take care to wheel my bike up the hill this afternoon, before re-mounting to continue to the Upper Norwood St Sprees for my weekly groceries shop.

Very interesting cloud formations today: high-base cumulonimbus, associated with an upper convergence trough.

Did you notice the darker clouds to the north? I was drizzled on, briefly, but I suspect that was the southernmost tip of any rain.

Could that be French muck in the air triggering precipitation?

Nah - there's always sufficient atmospheric dust to trigger precipitation, Cali; the conditions have to be right in other respects.

... yep, there was drizzle - a bit more than drizzle, ectually - in Shepherd's Bush just before lunch time. Certainly enuff to give the builders a reason not to come and put a final coat of paint on the walls in the back garden...

I was only passing that way last Tuesday on my bike. Having come up the Millbank from the Vauxhall end, I dismounted and crossed at the pedestrian crossings before re-mounting and crossing Lambeth Bridge, thinking at the time that attempting a right turn around the tight roundabout on the Horseferry Road side might be risky. It seems from the account that that might be what Gemma actually did.

Oh dear! No idea how my finger managed to do that. Must have had a touch of BBMitis. Should have been wind now of course.

I wouldn't say the wind has taken us back to Winter - it's certainly been fresh - at times bracing - but blue skies with fluffy white clouds and sunshine, up to 12° as forecast, has resulted in a bright day merely necessitating an extra layer rather than short sleeves of previous days, but no complaints. Small amount of rain for an hour from 6am

It was 18.7° yesterday, hazy most of the time, the wind has certainly brought brilliant clarity and visibility, this morning you could see right across the mountains to Hay Bluff. Tomorrow will be slightly warmer but still windy it seems, particularly in the afternoon and then I think temps rise slightly again for the rest of the week.
