Anna
A clear night but no frost, however the wind this morning was horrendous with trees bending right over, but bright and sunny. Around lunchtime two very heavy hail showers (which was odd as there were hardly any clouds) and overall, extremely cold!! Gritter has just gone by .... Wind now dropped, Met Office warning for snow and ice, taking wind chill into account it's around 2.5° out there now.

I don't suppose it will help if I say that it is bright and sunny here, and just the cool side of mild?

My post of yesterday could not have foreseen what would happen overnight. We have had a good six inches, and it is still snowing heavily. The most snow here for probably four or five years. Well, it has stopped now, Mangerton, the sun is out, and it is beginning to melt. I do hope it continues as I HAVE to get the car up to Inverness tomorrow to have the delivery plates changed to our personalised ones. That's sad, isn't it? Trouble is, every time I change anything on the policy, I'm hit for £25 - so you can see why I am so anxious to stick to the agreed date. Who'd have thought that we would have all this snow in March?
If this lot melts too quickly, I guess that some places will be flooded.Money can't buy you happiness............but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery - Spike Milligan
