All I would say is that Pabmusic's experiences remind us that (in spite of the Wail and Depress) we don't really have much to complain about...
Now back to Joseph Conrad - Typhoon!

Happy Christmas to my friends, while I'm on line.
Last evening/night was horrendously wet and windy, the river level has gone up dramatically this morning but it's quite mild and dry with a further deluge on Sunday (here). However, we are promised a few clear overnight spells to possibly see the Geminids which should be peaking tonight until 14th.

It was so cold and frosty this morning, I normally go out first thing but at -1.8 and with the frost and ice sparkling in the sunshine I left it until later, lovely and sunny, no wind, but frost still not melted in the shadows. Sally Army playing under the Christmas tree, that always gives everyone a good Yuletide glow. Supermarkets beginning to heave, so I shall avoid them from now on as I've got the essentials - Lebkuchen, Pfeffer-Nusse and Panettone!!
