Actually I am out of date. There was a lot more damage on Bohol, an island recovering from an earthquake a year ago (and a month later super-typhoon Haiyan)
It's a shame that the town of Loon has been affected by the storm. It had been badly damaged by the earthquake. We visited a school there where the volunteers had been working earlier this year (yours truly with the grey hair ). The teacher on the left of the picture was having a temporary classroom built for her class at her own expense!Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Yesterday turned out beautiful - wall to wall sunshine and blue skies,. not a puff of wind.. Lunchtime everyone was sauntering, coats undone, and plenty drinking coffee outside even though it only got to just under 8°. Today has been awful, grey, dull, raw cold that hasn't even got to 5°
Last night I sorted out tree decorations and have diverted some I don't like (too big) to give to charity shop, surprisingly the tree lights still work. Too early to think about dressing the tree of course. Haven't bought any cards as yet, why does Christmas suddenly sneak up without any warming?

The first Xmas card arrived today - Bristol friends now moved upmarket from Redland to Clifton Down.

Cold damp, and now a bit drizzly here.
Incidentally, S-A, you might like to mention to your chums the cheap Train tickets from Clifton Down to London Via Salisbury.
Although, of course Clifton folk are probably Not in need of economy measures.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

very nippy yesterday and today in the middle kingdom but we now have a blue sky and a light rather than gloom .... but still rather cold ... are we to believe the forecasts of snow?According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
