First frost of the winter here as well this morn - probably the last for a while as far as most of the country's concerned as winds go round to a vigourous westerly type.
World War Three came to a sudden halt at around 9 pm last night, as people went in from the cold and switched on The Apprentice, I would imagine!

Firstly, may I wish S_A the most happiest of birthdays today. Before I met him I knew nothing about the föhn effect or katabatic mists, so here's to many more years of him imparting his extensive meteorological knowledge!!
Ontopic, the last two mornings I had expected to wake to Jack Frost and his icy fingers but the clear and bright nights faded to cloud in the early hours. Yesterday and today a high of only 11° but temps dropping like a stone from around 3pm onwards. Horrid rain forecast here for next couple of days, I would rather have crisp, dry and cold.

Obviously not been much weather this week.
Apart from the endless rain........
Really nice here this morning now, after yet more rain early doors.
Nice weather for Dittersdorfing.....I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.
