The Blood Moon refers to the total lunar eclipse that took place mid-week during the early morning hours EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) of the 8th October. We missed seeing it because cloud and rain had moved in. There are lots of postings of this event on Facebook. I'll have to do a bit of research to find when these other moons occur. Harvest Moon might be the September or October full moon. The Native Americans had a particular name for each full moon throughout the year. I think "blue moon" refers to the occurence of two full moons a month which doesn't happen very often, therefore the expression "once in a blue moon" for rather infrequent events. I do like the idea of an aristocratic "blood moon"!
