Long may it continue! (the late Summer that is!)

    Any thoughts, S_A?
All change on Saturday when those more customary westerlies sweep in following the driest September on record, I'm afraid; so - make the most of getting that unpolluted fresh air through them open winders before we have to batten down the 'atches.

Well, I will still enjoy the nice weather we have here in Yorkshire until then, then! Much nicer than yesterday was. Might even go and sit in the garden with a book!
        Best regards,
        Jonathan

In my part of Yorkshire, a chilly, dull morning gave way to a lovely sunny afternoon and balmy evening. I took your suggestion and sat out in the evening - must be for one of the last times this year. Gone quickly, hasn't it.

First frosts of the "year" this morning in the Pennines - ice on the roof of my car at 8:00 am.

Temperatures didn't go below 14 degrees C here last night due to cloud cover. Our last frost was on March 24th.

Unusually for me for September, I have a cold; but I don't think it will stop me venturing out on the bike this afternoon, this looking likely to be the last time this will be comfortable in short sleeves this year.

                              These people are wearing them

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

... yes, but where does one wear them apart from at Hurlingham???

. I suppose Red Sea Rig is just about permissible. But only east of Suez...
