Not as bad as forecast. Torrential from about 3pm yesterday and then light throughout evening, three downpours today, total rain so far 25.1mm (just under an inch), lovely afternoon now, temp around 20° Garden has obviously appreciated it. Tomorrow (here) evidently the last totally dry and sunny day and then showery for around 10 days. I'm more concerned with late August into early September when I'm on hols Oop North ......

OT, it's been a dreadful day here - raining all day, and cold. I've had to put on a jersey for the first time in weeks. Next, it'll be winter draw(er)s on.

OT: It has gone a lot colder, still lovely and sunny though at the moment.

Was up in London today, a very pleasant day's weather for visitors and locals alike.
Also found a rather good place for a bite to eat.
Zizzi at Bankside has absolutely terrific views right over the river. restaurant is what it is, but I would imagine it would be hard to find a better vista with something decent to eat at a sensible price in the Capital.
Spent an hour or two in THE Tate Modern after lunch. Loads of folk in there.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
I am not a number, I am a free man.

Pouring with rain here in Newport. July has been a hectic month here with builders etc. We've had some brilliantly sunny days but temps have been (thankfully) on the cool side. Today's weather is too bad for the folks who are attending the Newport Jazz Festival this weekend.
