been to Cornwall today. Bit dull but Ok there. Still nice here.

Bloody Glasto traffic everywhere. Young people enjoying themselves. Mumble Grumble.

And I don@t want to hear ANY talk of poor weather untill September Please.

Talking of the THames, is the river bus thing down to Hampton worth doing ?

You didn't find an old bottle of 1970s aftershave in a cupboard, did you?

(I found a 1970s Xmas pressie bottle of Brut 33 not long ago, with some liquid still in it and, amazingly, liquid - and the pong still as powerful!! )

If it was good enough for Henry Cooper ... (maybe he should have splashed it all over when he fighting Cassius Clay - he wouldn't've got up then!)
Even worse was "High Karate". Boy! Was it "High"! (If Christine Battersley had ever let me talk to her again, I'd've apologised.)

My youngest and his family were on the Glasto coach yesterday. I can imagine locals must be fed up.

Do we think the mud will be deep enough to engulf them all?

But I expect granddaughter (2 and a half) will have fun in her wellies.

I do pity the locals. We have The south of England Show here, and the traffic from that is awful! Can sympathise!!

Weather a lot better today. More hospitable methinks! :)

It was in fact "Hai"... http://www.stuffwelove.co.uk/images/hai%20karate.jpg Not that Christine would have cared, I imagine!

For some reason, Brut 33 gained more traction in Christmas shopping down our way....

I was hoping to get to see the Cup and Ring stones, but couldn't find them, which was disappointing, but a really good walk - I practically had the Moor to myself (unless everyone else was crowded round the Cup & Ring stones!) and there are some glorious views.

You should have stuck with Spenny Moor if it was crowds you were after.

Having spent my life working in the energy industry and watching it implode ......fear not you will have your supplies but you could join the ever growing number who do not pay for same......

Boy - the air don't arf smell good from rain that's been falling here for the last couple of hours! I've flung all my windows open to partake of the aroma.

Tomorrow's going to be fun - shopping day - dodging the predicted storms!

You just change supplier, as ferney has done, conversely to one of the worst suppliers and chances are they will lose you in the mass of their broken records and may possibly eventually find you after such a time has elapsed that they cannot "by the rules" bill you for the full period....

I know someone who claims never to have been billed for any energy use since changing supplier. I doubted this but seems it could have been right. I just wonder who the 'worst suppliers' might be as there seems to be no shortage of likely candidates, just need to pick the worst of the worst.

No shortage at all - ofgem has just taken action against npower who it, rightly IMHO, sees as the worst,,,,,

My "HO", too, although the language they've inspired in me recently couldn't really be classed as "H"!

It would be interesting to see how NPower would cope with somebody who changed their supplier from NPower to NPower, but if my "correspondence" with them over the past two months is anything to go by, I'd probably end up getting the bills of all the people who haven't been charged!

Back OT - raining this morning; the first prolonged downpour in about a fortnight.
