Horrible today, started raining about 10am - and hasn't stopped. This pm temps plunged from 13° to a miserable 10° - (I'm so looking foward to the heatwave from June 10th onwards) - in the meantime I think Friday and Saturday are both to be very wet.

Fairly constant rain today and chilly with it. The temperature around 14 degrees here as well. Once again, the heating is on and Berghaus has been donned.
Best wishes to your parents, BBM. I know from experience that coping with aged parents is a case of one worry after another."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

Well, it looks like all the models are configured for something approaching a British heatwave, nationwide, starting next Wednesday, and still going around the midsummer solstice.
Before it settles down, we have to get through a lot of stifling humidity and probable heavy thunderstorms this Saturday, particularly up the west side of the UK initially, then during the day and evening the Midlands and North (in my estimation), and possibly again next Tuesday.
