Not a bad day today. My school, is advertising their summer arts festival, featuring Sir John Tomlinson!!

Some heavy showers today but mostly dry - but goodness me - the wind!! A howling gale again so it's back to the wet and windy stuff after a few dry days.

Living in the Midlands it is so irritating to hear the forecaster say: 'It will be chilly in the North and warmer in the South'. Even more irritating is to see the temperature chart for the next few days including Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff and London but nothing at all for Central England which may as well not exist. The national forecast is useless for this region and I tend to watch the local forecast but even that is split between the West Midlands and East Midlands. Not much good if you go from one to the other every day as I do!

        All rather middling, Pet!!

Not a bad day today, but I have had a rather busy one! Including an unexpectant, nonessential meeting!!

What happened to the forecast for at least an appearance by the sun up here?
Grey and very breezy and surprisingly low cloud all day.

It wouldn't be a working day without the non-essential meeting!

It was nothing like as warm as had been predicted down here today. Had expected to open all the windows for the first time, getting rid of all the stale air from winter, only to have had to turn the central heating back on!

A gust of wind this morning and the air was full of pink blossom, like a sudden shower of confetti

Today is officially the first day of Spring - in fact the Spring Equinox takes place at precisely 16:57 today (GMT) and it's very cold, very windy just started raining!

Yesterday turned out very nice, after an indifferent morning it was all blue sky and sunshine and a high of 12.5°, weekend promises to be quite chill but back to higher temps on Monday?

The first day of Spring is, well, surprisingly Springlike. The sun is shining and the temps have risen well above freezing. Not that this will last...we may very well get snow tomorrow! This is New England, after all.

Calmer (after this particular low eases away to the east) but not warmer, just yet.

Just look at this extraordinary cloud:

#supercell #supercelltimelapse A number of timelapses combined of this absolute unbelievable storm. This storm was rock-hard and rotated nicely as it droppe...

I'm glad to hear the sun was shining elsewhere. After last week's superb weather, my part of the country celebrated the first day of spring with pouring rain all day, and a bitter 5º C.
