Any news from pabs? I hope he and his family are safe and it’s just a power cut (or some such) that's stoping him from posting.

Yes, let us hope it is nothing more serious than that his compositional endeavours have been interrupted by having his sheets of music score blown about a bit.

What a mixed bag yesterday was! Lovely sunny morning, then it turned dark and hailstones came down! Then a thunderclap, and rain!!!

A screen-scraping start to the day here - the first of the season. It's a lovely sunny day now.

A very thick frost here, overnight clear and starry and 3.3° but rain again this morning but it cleared to sunshine, clouded up again now and only 9.4° so I've flicked the heating on. Rib-sticker winter warmer of a meal this evening - belly pork and puy lentils!
I see Pabmusic did log in at half-midnight but a report in the Guardian said Capiz had damage to infrastructure and no power, fingers crossed he is ok
I do not like Cali's new avatar!

(Although not musicians I do always remember the two brothers in our family killed in WW1 at this time of the year, Ernest and Frederick Reeves. One killed on the first day of the Somme aged 19 and the other died of wounds in 1918 aged 21)
But - don't you think that photo looks rather like Alan Whicker with a hangover?

... is it, I wonder, time for a new Anna avatar? I love the current one - and indeed its predecessor... but just perhaps - for the winter season - she has a new one to wow the boardees with??

Dunno vindepays, I have been Lauren Bacall and am currently Faye Wray - I somehow dread to ask for suggestions as to who I may be ....... some of the suggestions may be distinctly unsavoury! I'll have a think.
