Yes, of course it does, even more so my washing today my Sarah Lund-style jumper in preparation for the winter - and Thank the Lord we don't have cyclones, typhoons, tsunamis, etc., but we will give aid to those affected so I certainly am not going on a guilt trip (my relatives in Bermuda each year suffer tropical storms, ditto relatives in the US, so I am not unsympathetic and hard-hearted, but that's life, you live where you live, you deal with it - and that does make me unsympathetic and Hard Hearted Anna I guess ......)

Ever since a friend had her children caught up in the middle of that tsunami in Malaysia some years ago I realise we could be worse off.

Didn't enjoy those two events when all the trees and tiles and fences came down though.

I'm all at sixes and sevens, seriously overslept (10am !!) due to extremely late night, quick dash out to get paper and bread in an attempt to wake myself up, no idea of what to cook over weekend which always throws me (I like to be organised!) but bought three lovely cyclamens for kitchen windowledge,

Gosh! What a day yesterday! Went in to do some work in the morning. Finished at midday. Jamming session at my mates place, straight after, back home for a while, then back to same mate's house and his wife, and a couple of other friends for a Brazillian night!! :) Rather hung ovet, plus following the events at the Royal Albert Hall London, for the Finals of the National Brass Band Championships! And Anna should be npleased as the premier Welsh band Cory, from the Rhonndha(spelling?) Valley won, with Tredegar Town, second!

Busy day so far up early to witness the unspectacular dawn due to a strong too spicy curry last evening which brought forward dry fever and psychedelic nightmares.....chanted to the universe for a while....did some yoga (trying to sneak up on my bad back without it knowing)....stood on one foot for awhile.....stood on other....bit of a Pranayama job.... and sang to the great entity that does not exist that well know hymn written by Eleanor Farjeon (made famous by Cat Stevens), I Love my Dog as Much as I love you.....

Busy day so far up early to witness the unspectacular dawn due to a strong too spicy curry last evening which brought forward dry fever and psychedelic nightmares.....chanted to the universe for a while....did some yoga (trying to sneak up on my bad back without it knowing)....stood on one foot for awhile.....stood on other....bit of a Pranayama job.... and sang to the great entity that does not exist that well know hymn written by Eleanor Farjeon (made famous by Cat Stevens), I Love my Dog as Much as I love you.....

Hadn't realised that BBM, nothing on the BBC webnews as yet, but I know in September at the Birmingham Symphony Hall Tredegar Town Band took first prize of the British Open Brass Band Championship and the Cory Band from Ton Pentre in the Rhondda was placed second in a contest that saw the Welsh duo thrash the competition. There would have been singing in the Valleys last night, as opposed to 8obs singing in the morning to the hounds!

Chucked it down yesterday evening, today is steady light rain, around 11.5° I used to do yoga quite religiously, very good for bad backs, perhaps I'll get back into it, certainly keeps you supple. (Elderly friend of mine, in his 80s, used to start the day with it plus standing on his head)
