More or less, thanks Anna; just a few digestive problems with the drugs, but the specialist says I can stop taking one of them if I wish

I think conker collection led indirectly to the founding of the State of Israel .... ?
Maybe the origin of the expression "divide and conker".

Big drop in temperature between 5 and 7 pm, strongs winds as the cold front came down, but hardly any rain.

.... too right! And when did I pull out of the office on the velocipede? About 7.10 pm

Took me breath away - having been boiling in the sun at lunchtime!

Thanks, mangerton. We've booked a cottage in Ballantrae - it's been many years since we were last on that coast. We plan to visit Bute and Arran, and on any wet day - and I'm sure that there will be one - we hope to get to the Jack Vettriano exhibition at the Kelvingrove.

First really cold morning in Nessieland today, but otherwise dry and fine.

I was surprised that the heating had switched on this morning but on checking I found that (at 7am) it was only 5.8° outside - after a very clear and starry night I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised and I had left the windows open! So I was grateful to set forth in my new thicker fleece jacket into a lovely sunny morning because - oh! - the biting wind was not pleasant, a Northerly at around 10mph gusting to around 17mph so add on the wind-chill factor to a temp that hasn't gone above 11.5° today .......... However, it's now quite cloudy so no first frosts yet.

Itching to do a Uranus joke or two...

But I can't bear the thought of Anna's virtual eyes spinning sky-wards, and Frenchie's virtual finger hovering over the (Cali) ban-button...
