Very much like yesterday here. That is wall to wall sunshine after a chilly start. There was a bit of a breeze which took a degree or so off the temperature but it's still felt pretty warm at around 18 degrees.

I think it's going to be a mixed bag, weather wise today. I have a quiet day today, so I be able to, hopefully, finish the score I am writing. Just have to finish the Alto Eb clarinet part!

          Seems rather chilly here today.

The gas boiler is chugging away and it's hardly autumn yet.

... cheer up, salymap : for meteorologists 'autumn' is Sept - Oct - Nov. *

So we're already a third of the way through!

Now we have winter to look forward to....

How strange! It was rather nice in the centre for a little potter on the bike to the 11.30 Wigmore Hall concert, and then sunny (if breezy) after and ok for eating outside in shirt sleeves - albeit I was glad of a chunky sweater on the shoulders.

Just saw the Countryfile week's forecast, looks like Thursday will be a washout but otherwise now they seem to think not too bad in the south-east...
Thursday would be, pn my short day for work!!

They now seem to be hedging their bets as to whether the rain tomorrow will make it as far east as 0° longitude...

This morning it appeared to have rained quite heavily before dawn, but had cleared up by the time I pedalled off to work, although it was still a little murky. It's brightened up gradually since then and indeed the sun has just this moment come out!

Fait divers: on the way in this morning, I cycled past Ed Gardner who was pedalling up Fleet Street in the opposite (westerly) direction (without a helmet )...

Oh the naughty chap! If anything happened to him. I'd be most sad!

yes, heavy rain before dawn down here as well, Cali. And the roadworks! Gad!

Monday: grey, gloomy, dull. Tuesday: ditto. Today: ditto interspersed with stair rods cats and dogs.

Not cold, in fact quite muggy, a high of 19.6° today and around 17° Mon and Tues. We are still promised Monsoon conditions tomorrow here.

Rain here today for the first time for about a week. Also very grey, dark and depressing. Temp nothing to write home about at 13º C.

Winter is surely on its way.

Snapped this guy at 1030 this morning. He still has the Saraha to cross to get to winter quarters. Tomorrow he'll wish he'd got going a bit sooner.

Same here - circa ninety miles north of mangerton. Monsoon-ish, but quite warm.
