Disappointing day, more cloud than blue, only just now unbroken sunshine, chill wind this morning and only got to just over 17° (might be a decent sunset?) It really tipped it down for hours yesterday evening but I still think that I'll miss the worst of tomorrow's downpours. (I do a chicken/butter bean dish like Ams will be serving tomorrow but I bung a whole (not chopped and with stalk) red chilli in it for a bit of background heat - today, as I went past the butcher he was putting a tray of freshly cooked ham hocks in the window - couldn't resist, I'll wrap it careful he says, they're just out of the boiler. It was only £2.75, think I'll have it with a cauli cheese, real Autumn food! Then, probably make some pea or lentil and ham soup for tomorrow's lunch)
It also provides the rhyme, "The loch, the loch, the beautiful loch. How I wish I was in it, right up to my hough!" (anon - and I'm not surprised.)
OT: Still sunny, bright and coolish.

But hear, O little pig! on Thursday
The Cymry will rejoyce
In their defence of Cymimawd,
Furiously cutting and thrusting.
The Saesons will be slaughtered by our ashen spears,
And their heads used as footballs.
I prophesy the unvarnished truth -
The rising of a child in the secluded South.
They got that totally wrong then
As you were ...............

I hope so too. I certainly did! New one on me!"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Certainly quite a busy weekend! We saw three properties yesterday, and I had a band concert in the afternoon! The good news is, that we have found somewhere to live! It's at a place called Southdowns Park, in Haywards Heath. Yes, back to the place hwre I was brought up! Seems to have a magnetic pull! This building is the former psychiatric hospital, called St Francis Hospital. And, guess what? Around this building, are names of the various sections, some of whom were the medical superintendents that have worked there, Including my father, no less, who was the last one. And it's this part of the building, called Wheeler Court(named after him), is where wee are going to move to! I think it's uncanny and hmmm...surreal, even.Don’t cry for me

Yes I hope very much the 'revolving door' (a phrase used before the Care in the Community in the 80's closed such places) has well and truly been taken away....good news...Last edited by eighthobstruction; 15-09-13, 10:16.bong ching
