(I posted a pic of the sunset here on the Sunset thread - no doubt S_A can identify what clouds they are!)
Yes - most impressive, Anna: altocumulus on two levels. We had that same sunset here, too! I can remember dashing outside to take a proper look, then knocking furiously on the next doors' window and pointing westward by the time I'd got someone's attention. By which time the rosy glow had gone - they looked at me and each other thinking I must be crazy or something!

Yes, I thought both you and Ams had posted about it! It would have been lovely to have seen it over the London skyline. (I didn't have time to get to a higher vantage place before it disappeared)

I fear I can only describe the clouds here as big, black, and full of rain. It's been raining here for much of the day, but it's still surprisingly mild (for these parts) at 18ºC.

Decent evening down here, some patches of blue sky and a bit of evening sunshine, ready for the ride home

Glorious sunshine all day long. Apparently the same tomorrow and the weekend. Most agreeable.

We are all delighted at Sir's felicitous meteorological circumstances.

A special Bestio to friend Mahlerei, whose thread is coming up to 10,000, if my maths are correct.

Hope you are well as possible.

Well, guess what folks? We are seeing a fourth property on Saturday, now, and guess where.? A place called Southdowns Park, which used to be a psychiatric hospital, known as St Francis Hospital, in the time when I was in nursing. My father was the last medical superintendent of this place, and all the MS's have had parts of the newly named place, after them My father included, otherwise known as Wheeler Court!!!

This is great news Bbm, you've got possibilities a-plenty - I do hope that you & Mrs Bbm can find one sharpish on Saturday that you both like and that you can afford. Losing your home is always traumatic but as I get older it hits me harder and harder - the vest best of luck oh and a each too

Soon be page 1K and it's a pleasant morning in Southampton but people are making a great racket doing building work close by.

Ah the small pleasures of life, sitting on a wall having a ciggie, Border Collie Myke holding a stealth pose, and that bald mans joy of feeling individual spots of rain on dome....

You would need a sou'wester on your dome here - it's stair rods - and your Collie would be clawing at the door to get back in!
Rainy night/early morning, then grey but warm at 20°. The Sunday Autumn Storm seems now (according to the Met) seems likely to affect only the North (which is at variance with the BBC forecast) A rainy Sunday is fine by me, I have masses to do.
And best of luck to BBM in his property viewing tomorrow, I bet his Dad is thrilled to have part of the building named after him - indeed an auspicious sign!

There I was, setting off to do some shopping for a dish I'm cooking for Sunday when I realised that it was just starting to rain. Then I realised that I hadn't got my shopping list. Nor my phone

So here I am, back home, divested of the outdoor clothing, having a cuppa

It'll give me a chance to soak my butter beans

I suspect that although he too is thrilled, Bbm would have been even more proud had a pub been named after his Dad
