Yes, as mentioned before, I'm treating my sister and niece to an all expenses paid London weekend and, not unnaturally, bearing in mind the exorbitant cost of doing this the weather forecast for this Saturday and Sunday makes a major difference. The drier and warmer the better. Rain isn't wanted.Last edited by Petrushka; 27-08-13, 22:11."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

The best that could be said about this week's weather (apart from bank holiday monday afternoon) is that it hasn't rained, there have been very few sunny spells (the opposite to what has been forecast) and today especially a rather chill breeze developed. I must sort out and wash fleeces at the weekend in preparation for colder weather developing I suppose .....
Where I grew up we had a very squeaky metal gate, it was never oiled as it was a useful warning that someone was coming to the front door!

OT: perfect week of weather here, sunny, not to hot, not too cool"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
