For the firsttime for ages itis under 80f in my kitchen. Grey blue sky, slight breeze and looks like a nice day until we apparently get rain later. Rain,in moderation is still needed here though. Japanese Anemones by back door are drooping somewhst.
Flies in ointment = computer in bad trouble, ditto my wrists, both need a rest.
Hope Mrs BBM is better today, bestio to my friends on the MBs

MrsBBM is feeling better today, thank you saly.
I thought that I would take MrsBBM to a local National Trust property, for a picnic.

Weatherwise, early mornings and evenings from around 9.30pm onwards have been borderline for going forth with bare arms and legs, this morning felt quite Autumnal with mist and heavy dew .... but it's been reaching around 21-22° but generally still some cloud cover. Nice day for a picnic BBM!
(Have been spending every spare minute emptying cupboards and moving furniture prior to next week's disruption - the things I have discovered I thought long lost and charity shops will be benefitting from unwanted china!)

Thanks BBM and Anna for comment about present typing difficulty - I have a mouse and am trying to get used to it but my osteoporosis makes the mouse harder to use. [Don't ask] The touch pad on the left has almost fallen apart and the inside is now visible. After 6 years think I need a new computer actually
Goodluck Anna, I had a new gasboiler a couple of years ago. It was fairly painless as it was on the kitchen wall in the same place and, apart from having some walls painted it was done in a day.
I hope yours goes well

My workplace is very keen on this. We all have to be "risk assessed" to ensure that firstly we have the appropriate equipment depending on our needs, and secondly that it is correctly set up. We have chairs, keyboards and mice that I've never seen anywhere else. This is at a work environment where H and S have to be considered, but, for example, we should all be sitting with legs, thighs and torso at right angles:

Another point to note is that the top of the screen should be at eye level, which almost certainly means that some sort of stand will be required. I made a wooden stand for use at home which lifts my monitor about 7 inches - or 17 cm - off my desk, to give me the right height. Not a brilliant picture, but I hope it gives you an idea:
More info here. The free leaflet is certainly worth a look.
OT edit: Dull, overcast, close/muggy, but warmer than it's been all week.

Which is why the laptop is potentially problematic for extended use, if used per its name, on the lap, as the top of the screen is unlikely to be at the appropriate level.Last edited by Nick Armstrong; 08-08-13, 16:57."...the isle is full of noises,
