I seem to have a lotof very small dark brown butterflies, rather moth like, with small patches of an orangy colour.

Don't recognise them from my list of butterflies and they don't settle long enough to get a good look at them.

I've long been an advocate of everyone over the age of 45 having a medical check up for blood pressure and cholesterol. Fortunately, my own were diagnosed by chance when the boss at work went round testing everyone in the office on one of those BP monitors from Boots. Apparently, mine was high and a visit to the doctor confirmed it. Subsequent blood tests found a high cholesterol reading as well. The fact of the matter is I would never have gone for check ups even now had it not been discovered when I was 48 eleven years ago.

Women have blood pressure tested routinely during pregnancy but men over, say, 45 need to get themselves looked into before it's too late. Men's health gets a low priority anyway in the NHS so we need to look after ourselves!

Anyway, back on topic, it's rained for much of the day but isn't cold at all. Rain is forecast for tomorrow and I don't really know what to wear for the trek to the office. The Berghaus seems a bit OTT given that it's still fairly warm but I haven't got anything else suitable.

Yes, men are so bad about health checks (of course when they have a sniffle it's as serious as swine flu requiring compete bedrest and 'I think I could manage a small bowl of soup, pass the remote' Cough, wheeze!
Tricky problem Pet, I just don the Berghaus or a light fleece (moi? A leader of fashion? )

Saly, I was baffled by some small brown butterflies as well, I now know they are Ringlets. Here is the chart from the Butterfly Count for identification. https://www.bigbutterflycount.org/species

South east Wales? I hope your green fingers are not responsible, Anna. Had to laugh at the headline, though.

Peter Capaldi as Dr Who. Looking forward to that. I enjoyed watching him in the BBC4 rerun of The Crow Road which finished this week.

OT, it's been a lovely day here today - sunny, calm and warm.

There was a bit of an offer when I booked... But it is all a bit dear. It's a special place though.
