Lovely day here and the sun's still shining. It's the first day this year I've ventured out without my trusty Berghaus.

A reasonable day but still windy enough for me to wear my trusty Berghaus.

Did you get the much-reported snow in your part of Staffs, Pet?

Altocumulus lenticularis - caused by forced stable air interacting complexly with topography at elevations between about 8,000 and 20,000 feet. You see it piled up like crockery in that way more in mountainous districts.

I thought I was cold because I'm losing too much weight [tablets ] No way, it is seriously cold out today, Asian shopkeeper asked sadly if it always like this. It would be cold for bl...y November.

11.5 C here right now, saly, so you're right about November. My guess would be for a maximum of 13 C - it should be reaching 17 C in the London 'burbs by mid-May.

Two clips of altocumulus lenticularis to marvel at. Note how, in the first one, the actual cloud remains stationary while the rest of the clouds move with the wind, indicating its topographical generation:

More stills of this spectacular cloud form - unsurprisingly, some gullible people believe they are UFOs:

Had a rather busy day yesterday but the cds I ordered a few days back, have arrived from Europadisc! I mentioned elsewhere I had taken advantage of their Hyperion offer, last weekend of 40% off from Hyperion!
