I won't continue with this old song, firstly because it's extremely vulgar, and secondly because there would be absolutely no chance of it happening here.
It's cloudy, wet, dark, and windy. Temperature allegedly 7°C, but taking the wind chill into account I reckon it's nearer minus zero.

Sorry it's cold there but we still have that biting wind in the S/E although it's sunny.
I wish that wind would go away, it gives me a headache, even indoors.

That NE wind should be on its way out on Friday, saly, and then we're expected to be into more of a westerly/south-westerly type regime, and slightly higher temperatures in most places, tho' very little rain in the south.

It's almost as if the country knows its prodigal son is returning home. Thropplenoggin & Co. remove themselves permanently from France to Blighty as of Tueday.
It was a starry starry night and 0.1° in the early hours. 7° when I left this morning and not a cloud in the sky but the difference was - there was no wind, not even a slight puff!! Hence we are finally feeling the actual temperature as no windchill. Today has reached a massive 15°, even though it's clouded up on and off - this is the hottest day of the year so far for us (not a patch on what the SE has had of course but it does feel we have finally put Winter behind us)
Panic will set in shortly of course, having been muffled and layered up for 5 months - I haven't got a thing to wear in this heatwave
