I played this piece (here being taken a bit too fast for my taste) in the car when an ex-gf and I drove to Amberley in Sussex a few years back:

I believe this is the first performance of this piece to be posted on Youtube. :)This is my performance of a somewhat esoteric piano piece called "Amberley W...

She commented that the place must have changed a great deal since Ireland lived there!

I'm not so sure, though. Look at these shots of and around the village as it is today - preferably with the sound down, I'd advise - pity the poster chose some bit of sub-Einaudi instead of my choice:

Rock bottom awfulness in Ultima Thule - driving billows of fine, deeply soaking rain on fierce westerly, can't see the fells AT ALL, temp dropped like a stone in the last 12 hrs. Apparently 9C, actually in the wind more like 3C mid-afternoon too - in LATE April!!

Glorious sunshine here in southern New England and it's Earth Day to boot. Time to go outside and do a bit more clean up. The lawn is littered with twigs etc. from all the storms we had this winter. Another week and it will be time to get the mower out!

A perfect Spring day... April in London, a gentle cooling breeze, quite warm sun. Blossom blossoming. Gorgeous.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

And big clumps of daffodils, planted by the council, are lasting well after a late start.

Next door neighbour, always one for flags, has festooned his bungalow with suitable stuff for St George's Day.

We stood in his front garden and misquoted from Shakespeare's Henry V. And why not?
