It's still trying to snow here, and there's not a pelargonium to be seen.

However, I'm sure I saw a polar bear down the road a few minutes ago.

I too hope marthe is OK, and when did we last hear from salymap?

Well, SA, thgat could be, but surely a simple basic m,ovement of putting one's hand to one's mouth, is surely quite simple?

Quite! My battle 2 weekends ago with a cough was directly caused by a meeting on the Friday with colleagues two of whom were coughing like horses Neither should have been at the office but both could have made an effort to cover their infected gobs
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                    Woo-hoo S_A and Brummie Simon.

Did he mention a modest 19 degrees C for London, I wonder?

In my last job it was the unwritten rule that anyone with a stinking cold and hacking cough (not just a sniffle), provided they could offload their files onto someone else, was required to stay home for a couple of days. (There was always a lot of desk-hopping, shared telephones, etc., and no-one minded a bit of extra work if it prevented them succumbing to bugs)

I hope if Saly is reading the MB that she's on the mend, frenchie said on another thread that she had gone down with another (or possibly battling the same) throat infection.

Ontopic: grey and a bit chill here with a hint of rain in the air earlier, so Simon's prediction is welcome.

Quite agree Cali! Not a bad policy Anna. unfortunateloy, a lof comp0anies these days, oeprate the use of the Bradfford Factor. I dont know if anybody can exploain how this works, but in esssence, it makes you feel that, if you go off sick, then your marked and so it makes you feelo that you have to go in, otherwise you be hausled up and be scrutinised as to why. But, I am not sure, realy of the technicalites of this scale.
