It had been such a long time since I last had my oats, that when I took up eating porridge once more, this winter, I'd forgotten how much more satisfying it is.

At Kew Gardens in West London this afternoon, there was a biting cold wind and the sky was the usual grey colour. After an hour or so at the orchid exhibition (ends of Sunday this week - a fabulous display of variety of colour and shape) we found that the sky was now blue and there was brilliant sunshine and the wind had dropped too. Everyone was greatly cheered up and I even took may cap off to expose my solar panel (aka my bald bonce) to some sunshine and hopefully to some vitamin D-generating rays
After such a long time without sunshine, I think I was in danger of becoming slightly hysterical when it finaaly arrived

Well,I'm here and seem to have laryngitis, not just a cold. Voice is a squeak which would be fine in a Disney film but not for me.
Post no. one- Mahlerei- has gone to St.Thomas's Hosp in London for a check up. I shall stay in doors and hopefully listen to some music between 'jobs'.
Have a good day, still quite gloomy weather here but sun should come out later I believe.

It's still March 1st here in Newport, so I'm wishing Anna, and anyone else who celebrates the day, a happy St David's Day. My dear husband has been in hospital for the past few days so I've been a bit preoccupied. I was reminded of the day by a letter about St. David's Day in today's local paper.
