I can report that any tumbleweed here would have been sucked into a vortex and drowned, as it's been high winds and rain, rain, rain all day. However, this morning my preserved lemons were oozing juicily in their jar and looking very sunny and bright and I'm having a vegetarian week.
That is all the news fit to print from the Principality!
(Best wishes to mangerton's Mum of course, quite an upheaval to move at her age!)

No "and them faded sign" is poor grammar.

I am sensing a sub-textural experience here which I don't comprehend .... is it to do with AA and Mendelsshon's borrowing?

Thank you for your, and others', good wishes. I'll let you know how it goes. My sister, assisted by Mr Pickford, is in charge. I'll just do as I'm told; I know my place.

Sorry to hear about the rain. Not too bad here today, but other parts of Scotland have not been so fortunate.

What a vision "oozing juicily in their jar" conjures up! What is in there apart from lemons - unless of course it's a trade secret?

Yes, that phrase has stayed with me for an hour or so too...!

I suspect olive oil, salt and chillies, as it's Mr Ottolenghi's recipe I believe: http://bobvivant.com/2011/01/30/otto...served-lemons/

I assumed ferney was paying delicate hommage to our returned comrade BBM, so let it pass...
