The whole meal was. Towards the end I added to the lamb some chunks of sweet potato (which really worked well) and the juice and thinly sliced rind of a lemon, (didn't have any preserved lemons) and it was garnished with finely chopped flat leaf parsley and garlic. How was your Tesco's Finest?
O cruel one! If I had any sense I'd go off in a huff!
It was a delivery Chinese last night !!

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
Once I finish this mug of coffee and reading the headlines online I'll depart to the kitchen .... I was very pleased with my Moroccan lamb last night, I thought perhaps I'd made it a bit too fiery, having used Scotch Bonnet, but it was delish!
Woo-hoo! Any evidence of the Johnny Cash effect yet tho', Anna??
Cali, I do like Chinese but no good take aways here. What did you have?
I'm on work duty all weekend... It wasn't till about 11pm that I could be sure of not being interrupted. The magnificent Gourmet Oriental http://www.gourmetoriental.com/ arrives with astonishing speed (about 15 mns from phone call to knock on the door). I had some sesame prawn toast followed by a large barbecue pork chow mein! Delicious and very welcome it was too!

That sounds excellent, though I think I'd prefer Anna's Moroccan lamb. And haggis.
I had to input a London friend's postcode to access the menu! I see they have shredded crispy chilli beef - yumptious! When I go and visit relatives in Lancs we always have a magnificent Chinese take away feast, the best I've ever had and I always choose the duck and spring onion (cannot remember now what sauce it's in) as one of the dishes to share.
It's now bright and sunny here as well. Mangerton, I wonder if I could do something Moroccan with haggis? (on second thoughts, don't answer that!) Is it tomorrow you're flogging your wares for Children in Need or do your Tablets keep?

Yet again, the mind boggles, Anna

Hoisin?
Whereabouts in Lancs, Anna? (I have a valid passport and all the vaccinations so I can pop over the border from Yorks at any time!)

Rossendale, Haslingden to be precise. Very small restaurant run by young husband and wife and in-laws. Sort of Bury area (home of the famous black puddings, of which I am a fairly recent convert)

Saucy!

Oh, I know Rossendale quite well (I had an op in the hospital there 15 years ago!) - and I think I know the restaurant: along a row of houses on the main road? Enormous queues for the Takeaway at the front (and you have to book for a table Fri/Sat/Sun)?
Haslingden is where Alan Rawsthorne was born.

Like Caliban's, my mind is boggling. The haggis is essentially a temperate animal. (You do know of course that it is an animal?) Moroccanising it is probably not a good idea, even for someone with your undoubted culinary skills.
The bring and buy day at work is Thursday. Other fund raising events are taking place also. Tablet being essentially about 90% sugar will keep for a very long time, but its melt-in-the mouth excellence means it rarely gets a chance to do so.
Get your order in quickly and it can be posted tomorrow!

Now, you've got me - definitely not on a main (busy) road - and I would have to make a phone call to check out what it's called, which I will do during the week, Garden of Something, I think
