... if you think something will do you some good - it probably - as a result of such thinking - will do you (some... ) good.

Me, on the rare occasions I've had something Seriously Wrong With Me, I've found Proper Medicines to be the thing that works...

Sorry to hear that BBM, turmeric is a bronchodilator and a demuculant and historically used to treat asthma so your reaction to it must be rare. Too bad you can never have a curry!

Reminds me of the story of the chemist who leaves his assistant in charge for one day. On returning, that same evening, he enquires of the assistant if anyone has visited the shop. "Oh yes, a fellow came in just now asking for a remedy for a cough, so I gave him some of that", answers the assistant, pointing to a laxative preparation on the shelf. "You gave him some of that?" asks the chemist, aghast, "that stuff's not for coughs!" "Well, it seems to have worked", replies the assistant; "you saw that fellow out there, hanging on to that lamp post?" "Er, yes?" "Well that's him; see?"

He'll probably never speak to me again but Mahlerei is having a bad time with sight problems so thought I would tell his remaining friends.
A lens implant, done years ago, has become detached and,in his words, is swishing around at the bottom of his vision. An op and a replacement are due, but as he attends the same eye clinic that I do I know everything there takes ages.
He is still writing his reviews for Music Webb and makes a joke of it. Get treated soon Mahlerei.

That must be the main problem with having such big hands eh??

Talking of problems, anyone else having problems with an unusually sticky broadband all-of-a-sudden these past 4 days? Or is it just here? Constant timings out, 7 second releases interspersed with 30 second "bufferings" on all youtube links! It's enough to shorten your life! We've had a BT engineer up here yesterday and today, trying to detect a problem at our end.

I'm having terrible trouble with BBC iPlayer S-A. It heads up but I can't getbeyond a blamk screen.
Iwanted to watch 'Who do you think you are' about Celia Imrie. I tried everything I can think of but it's not responding. I managed to get part of a concert on sound only but can't activate any films.

I'm switching off now. Hope your problems are solved too.
