I can report it's shirt sleeve weather here at 16 degrees, doors and windows are open. Neighbours had lunch al fresco and are at the moment soaking up the rays whilst sipping a glass or two. No need to go to Rome for La Dolce Vita, we do it very nicely here as well! I have a slow roast belly pork on a bed of fennel with fennel seeds, star anise and cardomon on the go filling the air with delicious aromas and the crackling is looking good and JRR is about to start
Edit: I resisted any reference to tee-shirts on the grounds of good taste

What an amazing marriage pork & fennel makes

I could look it up of course ... !
Surprisingly warm where you are, Anna - only reached a windless, nearly cloudless 12.5 C here in S London today.

I'm interested to hear about the circumflex ê (Alt136) as I didn't know Welsh had accents. Does it have any others?
Scots of course have many accents, most of them impenetrable.
edit: OT note - lovely sunny day in Dundee today, but certainly not warm enough to dine al fresco.

Weather in Rhode Island has been warm and sunny for the past two days. it's supposed to be cool and rainy tomorrow which is too bad because we're going to the wedding of a young friend tomorrow.
