So, what happened to our constant blue skies today? Morning ok but rather chill, max 19, but dark cloud has been building rapidly now and not looking good.
Friend who is passionate Bristol Rovers fan (someone has to be) travelled to High Wycombe yesterday to watch match - it was abandoned after 65 minutes on health & safety grounds due to stand being hit by lightening and proximity of pylons behind ground. And, they were 3-1 up!! He is not happy .......
S_A, you have really cheered me up with your forecast - right little ray of sunshine you are!

It says, on Met Office website, that October last year was brilliantly hot and sunny.
Oh, and checking my weather diary for last year, I see that the last 3 days of September and the first 3 of October were unseasonably warm. On October 2nd the temperature here in Dulwich reached 26 C - which probably means it reached 28 or 29 C in the centre of town. Otherwise October experienced pretty much normal temperatures - those averaging at 1.6 C above the monthly mean for here, taking daytime maxima and nighttime minima into account.

my weather diary for last year, impressive!
bet it's hard to get away from you when you start up about the weather at the bus stop!
how far do you go back serial apologist?
will it be an indian summer.....or is that really it?
anna needs hypnotising with poetry about the beauty of autumnal colours - they are fantastic though ...before the depression starts proper, which includes the weather, short days and downing street, as ferneyhoughgeliebte so rightly suggests. fabulous weather ahead for posting stuff on here, whereas in good weather i feel soooooooooo guilty for being indoors.
