I was speaking ot my Dad last night and in the 30' conversation, he said at least 3" at least had settled in West Malvern...

I always thought living ona hill (-side) was a good thing, especially with flooding etc., but I would not relish driving down the West Malvern Road for a few days yet!!

      Do please be very careful:

A teenager is in a serious but stable condition after being crushed by snow and ice which fell from the roof of a Berwickshire farm.

Here's one I took last February in a snowstorm...thanks to my flash settings, a grocer's parking lot becomes a magical wonderland!

Nearly 2.30pm in Kent borders and bitterly cold still. Sun is now going down and I just hope the snow doesn't come back tonight. There is still a thin layer of snow but frost and ice stop me venturing out until it's less slippery.
Thinking of the North and Scotland and hoping it's not too bad foryou wherever you are.

West Malvern Road is always bad in the snow. Not only do you get snow drifts after the first few flakes but it's also very steep, narrow and bendy. A beautiful place in summer but best avoided if possible in winter. I live further down the hill and haven't had too many problems so far although last January was a different story.

Thanks, saly. A lovely sunny day in Dundee, but cold. Gritters have been zooming about all afternoon. As I texted to a friend earlier this week: "Bitter outside. Gin in cupboard, and wine in wine rack."

We'll have to do more re-cycling of old jokes in these distracted times. And take care under these gutters. I don't want to read that you've been impaled on an icicle!

Funny you should mention that, mangerton ... BBC TV NEWS staff reporting from the Highlands last week seemed to have spent much of their time showing us their icicles and boasting how big they were ..
