        I love Worcestershire, Suffolk and Norfolk best I think. Kent is being gradually swallowed up by Greater London, which somehow seems to make a difference although it's all in the mind, I suppose.

        Too hot to sleep here, what a horrible year this is. [Never satisfied}

          saly, you must be having some of our hot weather. We've had a few of those unbearably hot nights recently. It's cooled down just a touch and was actually quite cool and rainy on Friday. I hope you get some of this cooler weather and some good sleeping weather as well.

              Thank you saly, much better today, must have been hay-fever as it was just so windy and stirring up the pollen Got a good nights sleep as well, that makes all the difference. Today we are just under 27c but I was out of the house by 8am and left it with curtains and windows closed as recommended by S_A. Early morning in the Summer, when all smells so fresh, is really the best of all times. If you could bottle that and sell it in the Winter you'd make a fortune.

                      I love how saly never uses two matching brackets - adds a certain bric-à-brac charm to the thread
