Wish me luck please. I KNOW worse things are happening in this sad old world but, God willing and all that, they will COME today with a new fridge freezer and it will WORK.

I am a woman and should not swear [much] but I am in a lot of pain with my back trouble and am ( add stars as necessary} sick of powdered milk and disgusting ready meals,etc.....

Cali, isn't it wrong for a big insurance company to take £80 a year for several years as freezer insurance, then charge me nearly the full amount for a new one, when all the extras are taken into account. And take SEVENTEEN DAYS for said replacement.

Is it worth insuring 'white goods' if this is what happens? Bestio to all- enjoy the proms.

Fingers crossed for a happy delivery!

It sounds wrong but what is freezer insurance? Isn't it about the contents - in case of a power cut and you lose a ton of frozen pizza etc etc?

It is indeed - but, by some oversight, the weather forecast is currently claiming that it will be the best day of this week, weather-wise! As to apples and raindrops, there's plenty of the latter over here in west Herefordistan but a grave shortage of the latter.

I suppose that one might call that unscrambling nowadays...

However, St. Swithin didn't like being moved and the removal was accompanied by ferocious and violent rain storms that lasted 40 days and 40 nights to indicate his displeasure at being moved. I did think of suggesting to The Dean and Chapter that they put him outside again ......
!!! But why should this affect the rain in faraway Wales?

Thanks you mangerton yes it arrived at 8.45 amazingly enough. however it's only just working as I had to ask neighbour to remove foam blocks from around the compressor, which I couldn't get to.

Ihope your day has been as exciting as mine but not in the same way. What's the weather like? Black as pitch here at the moment.

Oh, is Caveatina back? I look forward to that. She was, rather odd. And her mate, Budgie Jane.
                          We are promised thunderstorms later

                              Delighted to hear that!

Dry here today, but overcast and perishing (12/13 or mid 50s) cold. More like Feb or March.

Ff probably knows the position re Cavatina, Anna. She was banned from something, I remember, but presumably she can't be banned from the proms. I don't remember Budgie Jane though.

The person I often worry about {sorry HS, am going off topic] is Sigolene someone. She just disappeared aftersaying she was going out on her yacht one day.
