And this snow means business too...especially as it's snowing like nobody's business!

Rather creepy weather and very windy. Last night and this morning sundry bangs and crashes indicated that something was on the move that shouldn't be. Hope it's just the various rubbish bins and not real damage.

Pretty fed up with the seemingly endless windy days and nights. Currently blowing like a hurricane here yet again.

Nice here now - bit chilly, but lots of sun.

Blowy but lovely and sunny & mild. It makes all the difference when we see blue skies.
                Snowdrops and primroses, look cheerful.

We've got about 8-10" of powdery white stuff on the ground, blue skies, and no wind. A "warming trend' is on its way so all will melt over the next week. Even so, it's time to get the shovel out once again! The snow cover is very pretty!

Tricky tennis conditions on Friday evening but pleasant enough and bracing followed by two pints in the bar. Today, washing hung out after breakfast was dry before lunch ... it's an ill wind etc

Mind how you go with that shovel marthe. A bit of digging has left me disabled and shovels are as risky as spades. I believe we are in for colder weather next week but still very windy here. Best wishes.

Thanks saly! You're quite right about shovels. I try not to "be a marine" as my brother-in-law would say, but sometimes get carried away by my wish to get everything done the way I want. This AM, handsome husband was out shovelling the driveway so all the heavy lifting had been done by the time I got my boots on and went out to shovel the walkways. A kind neighbor cleared the pavement in front of the house with his snowblower. Stay warm during that cold spell!

That terrible high wind has dropped today but very cold here. Awaiting the next weather forecast from S-A.

My uncle, who lives in Montana, reports the temperature last week was minus 22. He's just turned 80 and still shovels snow. Hardy or what?

Which proves that women shouldn't have to do their own digging/shovelling. What are men for? Answers on a postcard
