Warning for all who live south of Ultima Thule: wild, wild weather heading south.
And I don't mean the economy.

Lovely bright, crisp morning here after the overnight rain.

I have roofers above my head attending to the chimney stack...

Yes indeed! I'd like to add my own to Mahlerei - as a drop-in must to see how everyone's going, this has been one of the least contentious, friendiest and most longlasting threads, too! s up and s to all!

Happy Anniversary to all Stormy Weatherites (and other FoR3 members). This board, and the SW thread especially, has been my port in the storm of everyday life. Today, though, is far from stormy. We're still enjoying the clear skies and sunshine of yesterday.

Mahlerei, yesterday while visiting my mother at the nursing home, we watched a bit of the AKC Dog Show on TV and saw a lovely husky in the working dogs group. Looked very much like your Sky!

Yes, Happy Anniversary to All! I don't post here as often as some, but I always like to see what way the thread is going. Long may it continue!

Weather in Dundee has been very mixed today, with some very heavy showers in the morning, and a pleasant sunny afternoon, though as cold as it's been for a long time.

Just doing a heads up as no-one seems to be around much on this. Very cold here,I'm not moving around enough possibly.

Going to bed soon, nearly 7pm. Roll on spring.

Very nice here today - bright and mild. Difficult to believe what we were enduring last year...

Very, very windy here and draughts finding their way through every crack. Terraced houses are much cosier than bungalows with lots of outside walls. Not suitable for cavity wall insulation either.

                              Nice and bright though.

Assuming you mean solid walls, same problem here, saly. Do you have double glazing? Dulwich College, the freeholder here of our block, won't allow us double glazing installation unless we're prepared to pay about £20k per flat to have their choice of expensive "aesthetically compliant" Crittall lookalikes, (their definition), and we've just had the outside repainted at huge expense!

Anyway, now that the winds have subsided, enabling me to put my laundry out on the line, it's turned out gloriously sunny, and so clear I can easily make out features on Hampstead Heath, 1`2 miles to the north. Think I'll take a stroll. Weather forecast doesn't look too promising for this week, though we really do need the expected rain.
