    Lovely sunny day here!

In Brighton & Hove(mainly Brighton), they have the The Pride Parade(formerly known as Gay Pride, on Sunday. I hope it passes by relatively quietly.

You won't be joining them with your horn then, BBM

The brooks up today, due to rain over night....swept down a lovely tree [lovely in the sense of much firewood].....hope it does not rain even more and sweep it away from my grasp....

Got to make it to Sloane Square for a noontime freebie jass gig at Cadogan Hall. (some of the jazz is free during the Prom-pom-pom season - not the classical stuff) Just trying to make me mind up whether it's to be the tube or the bike... from that dark sky ahead.

What a summer eh? - in more senses than 100.

I tend to take our brook as a guide to how much rain there has been....This the first time for a couple of months or so that the brook has been too strong for my dogs to go in....it has certainly got a bit of a roll on....

Grey and drizzly here in Wessex. Interesting how the weather affects the picture I wish to work on. Yesterday I was continuing a bright coloured one whereas today I put it aside and pitch into a darker one.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new paintings Chris. Wet and occasional sun here, difficult to get going on any jobs today somehow. Hope Becca is okay.

Caught in a downpour on Clapham Common on the way back. Two friendly drunks for 10 minutes' company in the bus shelter.

Sounds fun S_A. Slightly autumnal today with a little sunshine. Remind me, when was the actual summer?

I was rather expecting thunder, which would at least have made it more interestsing. After all, it was CLAPHAM Common! I'll need to check my scrupulously updated meteorological diary before answering your question.

just returned from a funeral - grey humid and drizzle would fit many a sad occasion but this was a lady of 93 who had a full and very positive life, and was one of those sharp, cheerful and subtly mischievous spinsters that it is a privilege to know, so sunshine might have been preferable ..... the last of her generation, several of us sat around acknowledging that we were now those old geezers that we used to see on the periphery of family and community events and that the younger persons were now seeing us as the wallpaper ....

She sounds great Calam. Regarding age, did you see a film called 'A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH ? There was a giant escalator, you reach the top, your time has come, you step off.

I saw that! Wasn't it John Redgrave in the lead?

I thinkl that autumn has come early this year. Leaves on the trees are changing to their autumnal colours already!

                              Rather wet today.

SA - "A Matter of Life and Death" starred David Niven - Kim Hunter - Roger Livesey - Marius Goring - Raymond Massey - Richd Attenbrough - but no Redgraves I think...

                                Lovely film.
