At least the weather people on the BBC were right about the weather!

Curious weather sandwich today - cold and drizzly in the morning and since about 5:00pm; warm, sunny and cloudless in between.

Yes, very odd and pretty much the same here. Tricky what to put on this morning but decided on the Berghaus due to the rain. By the time I got to work it had turned warm enough for just shirt sleeves!

Looks like an overcast kind of day today?

Much cooler than yesterday, when it reached 17.5 C here, and I took a lucky chance between rain belts to take the bike on a 14 mile circular route, subsuming "pretend" countryside (Streatham Commkon) and inner city (Stockwell/Brixton), without need of extra clothing, because it looked possible that it would be the last time this year, to judge by the plunge of November temperatures "Brummie Simon" is forecasting for next week.

We have the female weather presenter back once again on the BBC1 London forecast at 1.40 pm. I must try to remember to catch her name - from her appearance and attire I could imagine her divining the forecast by means of peering into a crystal ball: "I see terrible cold approaching from Russia next week; beware! beware!!! ".

Stratocumulus, with cumulus beneath, teamy. Or at any rate just a remaining vestige of cumulus visible behind the right-hand telegraph pole now that convection had stopped by the time you took those shots. Just like here today, and all quite typical for an autumn or winter day given anticyclonic conditions - and they are expected to last for some time now.
