Lovely here.

Hot, but not oppressive.
lots of thunder last night, but nothing more.

Staggering heat in Derby today
Leaving the air conditioned office produced an almighty shock as it felt like walking into a solid wall of heat. The temp was 26 degrees at 8.30 this morning and at 17.30 read 35 degrees!
No complaints from me, hope it continues."The sound is the handwriting of the conductor" - Bernard Haitink

It's like the impact of getting out of a plane in Sao Paolo or Mumbai after X hours in air con.
It's been the staggering change in temp / humidity / wind direction [strong easterly oop 'ere] in the space of a mere 36 hrs: 18C Monday p.m., by Tuesday late afternoon 22C, but by noon today 30C. Garden still in shock.
