I think it's called Las Vegas but I have yet to see Old Blue Eyes but have spotted more Elvis Presleys than you could shake a stick at! Little Sir Thomas Beecham but I think I did catch a few notes of Rhapsody in Blue!

Anton, you're in quite an exotic spot! No wonder it's scorching. No such luck here. More rain and cold here...the joys of New England springtime!

Don't worry, it's all being very carefully planned. Huskies have very sweet natures and the vet says they can be 'introduced' to other pets under controlled circumstances. We will divide the garden as well, so the buns will have their exclusive territory and the husky his. They need lots of exercise, so we will all be getting a bit fitter.

Oh Bless Mahlerei, Huskies are the most beautiful of dogs with their heart shaped faces. Is it a girl or a boy, what are you to call it?

They are beautiful dogs! My aunt had a series of huskies from about 1960 until her death in 2003, usually two at a time and all "girls" with Russian or German-sounding names (Tasha, Stasi, Heidi etc) They were intellegent and affectionate... brains with beauty. When we were young, we would go along with my aunt to dog obedience class where the huskies (and owner) were trained in basic commands such as sit, stay, heel, lie down. The instructor was a rather crusty Englishwoman who had a commanding voice and tiny stature. No one dared get on the wrong side of Mrs. W! She always brought her cairn terriers who lorded it over all the other dogs. Truly a funny site. The huskies had lovely coats and wonderful blue eyes. The only drawback was that they would shed terrribly when the weather got hot. One had to be careful not to sit in one of the dog chairs lest one come away covered in dog hair!
Mahlerei, does your husky have blue or brown eyes (or one of each)?

              Anna, marthe

We have reserved a boy in dark grey with a very distinctive face mask. However, we are going to see the rest of the litter on Friday, as I'm rather taken by one of the females in pale grey with blue eyes. Hard to decide. Will post a picture when we get eight-week-old pup at the end of May. If we get the boy it will be called Fargo; if a girl, Kodi. They are the most stunning creatures.

I must be a wee bit tipsy, because when I read "Little Sir Thomas Beecham" I had an image of you brushing past the other impersonators and spotting a white-haired midget in black tie and tails, sauntering confidently down the Sunset Strip with a score tucked under his arm. Oh cool, you saw Little Sir Thomas Beecham!! The highlight of any trip to Vegas, I'm sure. In any event, hope you're having fun.

Morning, Sal! Hope you're hanging in there and your computer isn't giving you any grief...let us know if we can help. For what it's worth, I took some lovely pictures of G's tulips and garden for you, which I'll post tomorrow in the approved thread. Cheers!

I am very jealous, Mahlerei, and look forward to seeing pics of Fargo / Kodi in due course.

Our cat used to watch the rabbits wistfully, but never got anywhere near them, which seemed wise.

Bit chilly again this morning - we've been so spoiled.

It hasn't rained here for ages. Misty at the moment, someone tells me we are in for a heat wave, I thought the forecast was for rain????

We've got it over here! At long last the sun is out but, for me, it's "heigh ho heigh ho off to work I go." No pottering in the garden today!

Glad you've got some sun at last marthe. It has just come out here but I feel really cold today. The heating switched itself on so it's not just my imagination.

How nice, having a central heating system that shares ones imagination!
