Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Gales expected in the coming week - in May, would you believe it?? Starting in the south on Tuesday (after quite a nice day tomorrow) the spreading to the whole country (apart from Scotland which is expected to remain wet) on Wednesday.
"Brummie" is expecting it to settled down with a high building midway through the month - but it's expected to be the "wrong kind of high".
It turned out lovely today - after a slow start - and reached the upper 16°s, very windy though which kept the clouds scudding along quickly until about 5pm when the heavens opened. Still warm, coming up to midnight, at just under 12° Unfortunately I don't know now, with sodden ground, if I can get a couple of hours digging in garden tomorrow as it still seems to be raining slightly.
Yesterday was horrid, grey, dull, cold, I confess I put the heating on for a couple of hours in the evening. I got a visit from our hoping to be re-elected MP which was good but he's gloomy, he doesn't know what'll happen or if he'll have a job but expects a right mess and confusion on Friday!
(As we can't be political I won't make any jokes about Moses and and Milstones ...)

Horrid first thing here but sunny later and an odd mix of cool yet humid...

Yesterday was a day for adding, not subtracting clothing. The new pup had her feet wiped countless times. But this morning we have balmy breezes and contented birdsong.
