Where? Certainly not here where it's got up to a mild 11 degrees. Lighter at night and in the mornings too. Little by little, Spring is pushing out Winter.

Yes - there was an unexpected frost yesterday morning (Winter just letting us know it isn't going to be pushed around) but it had burnt off by 10:00 am. Today was sunny and mild - reaching 7 degrees. A lot of rain forecast for tomorrow, but thenafter back to this very pleasant mild stuff.

Be careful paddling this weekend, folks...

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

Don't care about the day pupils then, Bbm?

Much the same here with the addition of a bitterly cold wind this morning. Noticeable how warming the sun was when it came out.

Not much over 7° but it's been dry, although looking like rain several times with ominous blackness.. Clear sky now (and isn't it so lovely and light!), temps plummeting towards 3°, tomorrow was promised awfully rainy, sister phoned asking if we'd had the storms yet, I think that's due on Monday? Oh well, it'll be March this time next week, will the old proverb be true - in like a lion out like a lamb?

"Brummie Simon" seems to think so, Anna: strongs winds setting in tomorrow and expected to last until around March 10th, then high pressure taking over for the rest of the month.

Here we had pinhead-sized hail this afternoon, and I was surprised to see at least five cumulonimbus anvil clouds (denoting possible thunder showers) distributed around the sky, dramatically illuminated in salmon pink to the east and sharply silhouetted against the western sky, as I returned from a short walk around the block.

Well, that settles it S_A - I'm starting a whip-round to equip you with a phone which has a camera - you always seem to have such amazing cloud formations that us mere mortal seem to miss!

Oh I say Cali - it says: the spectacular lightshow will see a sparkling and brilliant white Venus snuggle up to the Red Planet beside a crescent Moon.

Cripes! And you want me to watch that in stereoscope?
Oh well, if we are all doomed - I might as well enjoy it!!
