            Bright sunshine, clear, sunny sky - and a robust frost here in the Pennines all this morning: it looks the perfect weather for a brisk walk - but no chance for anyone with asthma problems

                          I think most of Scotland will be affected, I'm afraid, Mangers. It's going to be pretty windy right through until Monday everywhere, at least, rather diminishing any benefits to be accrued from there being above-average temperatures.

                          Canada and the States are having another bitterly cold winter this year, I see.
