Ammo - you've lighted upon another of my faves.... can't find the best 'absolute shaaaaaaar' quotes but there's a couple of goodies here:

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I still won't bank or buy anything on line if I can get younger relis to help me. I had enough trouble with an ordinary bank, where I've had an account for 50 years or so.I asked them to cancel one card, they cancelled them all. I had lots of trouble to correct their mistake and have never forgotten it.
Sal - just spotted it was your b******y yesterday. A belated M**y H***y R*****s, along with and my very best wishes!

Pity, that.

When I think of what my bank must have made out of my deposits over the years...
Actually it was the local bank's customer service representative who was quite rude and unhelpful. Bank Newport is a local bank that has been in business since 1803, not a large multi-national financial institution. At least four generations of my family have done business with this bank which proves that customer loyalty doesn't count for much if there's money to be made from fees for overdrawn checks or bank cards...even if it's all been a horrible mistake. We're still waiting for the funds to transfer from Chase Bank, the issuer of the credit card. Their representative was polite at least. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Family are visiting for Easter this weekend. The last thing I need is a financial crisis!

Morning Stormyweatherites, More cloud than recently, but looks to be another fine Spring day.

Please, how do I get rid of Facebook? I have never joined, never will, but earlier it filled the screen with requests to get in touch with [initial]. I tried and tried to delete it, it keeps coming back like a wasp.

Morning another beautiful day here. Are these requests from Facebook coming in as emails?

Morning Anton, yes on email page butjust says "Get in touch with [initial]" Ihave several friends/relatives with that initial but it is just a disguised request to join wretched Facebook and keeps coming back on the screen however much I press 'delete'. Ihave to do a complete shutdown toget rid of it, which is depressing.

                  Lovely day here too.

Anton -- that sounds like a worm, doesn't it, rather than a real Facebook thing? (salymap, please forgive me for talking across you!) What's the easiest way to tackle it, do you think? (I'm assuming salymap has better things to do than tinker with it all day: I know what I'd do, but it's a rigmarole.)

Malwarebytes to smoke out the scumware?

I am fully confident of saly's ability to cope with this:

                          Go get 'em, saly!

salymap, don't know what email you use, simplest way is to put the url(s) on your 'block sender' list isn't it? As Uncle Monty says, Malwarebytes is what I use and I also have my Firewall set to scan on a daily basis for nasties.

It could be someone else's Facebook malware that's generating these annoyances...you might google around for "Facebook malware" and send virus removal links to your friends with that initial. Hope that helps!
