One of those days today when it's actually warmer outside than in. Lots of cloud and no sunshine but still warm.

We have a bit of both down here!

Ooo-er, so it's true what they say about West Sussex then...!!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

A nip in the air - winter draws on.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Ah good times! Do I recall a surfeit of ugly sisters when we floated this last time? Or was it horses' a*ses?

I'd forgotten last year's Thread - seeing vinty's "It's beneath you!" reminded me of my partner's roar of laughter when I read it to her. Doesn't seem that long ago.

Feeling truly blessed by the continuation of this lovely late Summer weather - still quite mild, even a bit muggy, lovely pale lemony sunshine now which is often turned to deep apricot by the evening. We did have some rain yesterday afternoon and during the night by the look of it.

Long may it continue! (the late Summer that is!)

                            Any thoughts, S_A?
