Friday was windy on the Southampton Water crossing to Hythe. No cobwebs left in this particular attic.

This morning the trees are whipping about and I'm guessing wind speed is already considerable?

I am taking the train westwards today and expect to be travelling into the storm.

A rainy morning in Istanbul. Attending a wedding today - would be nice if the weather improved, for the young couple.

31 degrees today - and it looks like it might drop to 29!

Have a great day Beefy, hope the weather does the decent thing.
didyou remember to pack a tie?

Sometimes at weddings , it has been known for the blokes to slope off during the reception to catch the big game on the telly...and its the L1 playoff semis today ......

Windy and showery here in wilts, a good day for some proper music listening I think....

No chance of sloping off - in fact I have this minute been summoned as taxi driver to take the ladies to the hairdresser, so it's beginning right now for me! The best I can hope for is checking the footie on the iPad!

Going to be a mixed bag down here. At the moment, a gap with the rain and sun.

On Tuesday The Mirror's front page had the headlline Heatwave!! 82° for TWO weeks!!! The next day our local BBC weatherman utterly dismissed this saying he'd heard the "rumours" and could see nothing to indicate such a thing ... however he does promise us warmer, more settled, weather as from Thursday.
Yesterday was quite nice, very bright although horrendously windy especially during the afternoon. Today has been a mix of sunshine and showers, the constant wind gusting up to 37mph although it seemed more than that at times, lots of omninous banging and thumping sounds outside which I have not investigated. The apple blossom has been blowing around like confetti and now the tree is quite bare. Talking of weddings, a friend has gone to a family one in Epsom today, hope the weather wasn't too bad there. I've been at home, glossing skirtings and door frames, with only R3 for company

Well I thought Radio 3 wasn't to bad this afternoon, presenting their 19th Century Season. Didn't catch the presenter's name though.

A very blustery day today, with occaisional showers.

Upstairs was off to do some umpiring this afternoon, and greatly looking forward to it.

22 celsius I think you or she meant, or the above would probably represent a record all-time low for May! More like 17 C here, we've been told.

Lots of thunder in the, in this instance, appropriately-named Clapham about 30 minutes ago. I expect we'll get a lot more before the day's out. 12 C on the thermometer just now, and the sun's found a tiny gap in the heavy cloud cover to shine down upon us. Heavy scent of lilac in the still air.

We had a showery day, with promise of a thunderstorm, which never came! :( Quite settled early evening.
