"Brummie Simon" is now talking about a return to gales around next Tuesday.

I heard similar but with less ferocity than before, according to computer modulators! :(

Is that "Harrison" or (musically) "tremendae majestatis"?

In Durham this morning it was a lovely sunny day which I thought augured well for a leisurely drive north and an overnight stop somewhere in the Borders. When I got there - only fifty miles or so - there was rain and thick mist, so I just continued homewards.

Still, I should not of course complain, because that is as nothing in comparison to the problems in the south.

Down here the price of water tables at Ikea has been reduced.

Not a bad day, down these parts. That Golden Orb, seems to be trying to make an appearance but not much doing there!

Amazingly springlike here this afternoon, breeze notwithstanding. Temperature reached 12 C as this morning's drizzle cleared - the warmest thus far this year, here. Cumulus building up a bit now, but not quite high enough for showers to result.
